My Approach
At Restore Health, true wellness starts from within.
My holistic approach is rooted in functional medicine and seeks to identify the root cause of symptoms while also addressing the unique needs of each individual. No two people are the same, and I understand that food and diets are not one size fits all or created equal.
With a focus on evidence-based practice, I combine dietary recommendations with professional quality supplements backed with scientific evidence, ensuring comprehensive and personalized strategies to address the root causes of your symptoms.
FAQs
What can I expect during an initial consultation?
During your 90-minute initial consultation, we'll have a heart-to-heart conversation, diving deep into your health history and understanding your unique concerns and goals. This will allow me to create a personalized nutrition plan tailored to your needs.
How many follow-up sessions do I need?
The number of follow-up sessions depends on your individual health journey and goals. I like to start with a 3-session package, and we'll work together to assess your progress and adjust the plan as needed to ensure the best results.
How long does it take to see results from nutritional changes?
Results vary from person to person, but with dedication and consistency, positive changes can often be noticed within a few weeks. Remember, it's about progress, not perfection!
Are supplements necessary for everyone?
Supplements are not always necessary, and we prioritize whole, nutrient-dense foods as the foundation of your plan. However, in some cases, supplements can be beneficial to address specific nutrient needs or health concerns.
Can you work with specific dietary restrictions or allergies?
Absolutely! I specialize in personalized nutrition, which means we'll take into account any dietary restrictions or allergies you have to ensure your plan is both enjoyable and nourishing.
How do you address individual needs and preferences in the meal plans?
Your preferences and needs are at the heart of my approach. I do not believe in one “right” diet for health and well-being. Together, we'll create meal plans that are delicious, satisfying, and aligned with your unique lifestyle and nutritional requirements.
What type of conditions or symptoms do you specialize in?
I specialize in holistic nutrition and functional medicine, which means we focus on identifying the root cause of symptoms. Whether it's hormonal imbalances, gut health, energy issues, or more, I'm here to support you on your healing journey.
How do you approach holistic nutrition and functional medicine?
Holistic nutrition means considering the whole person – mind, body, and spirit – to achieve optimal well-being. Functional medicine focuses on addressing the underlying imbalances in the body to promote healing and restore balance naturally.
Can you help with weight management and lifestyle changes?
Absolutely! I'm here to support you in making sustainable lifestyle changes that will positively impact your health and well-being, including weight management goals. However, I usually do not list “weight loss” as a main goal with clients without identifying other goals through root-cause analysis. Healthy weight loss may be a positive side effect of addressing underlying imbalances.
What certifications and qualifications do you have?
I hold a Master's degree in Human Nutrition and am a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) candidate. While I gain clinical experience and prepare for my state licensure, I am under the direct supervision of The Nutrition and Herbal Collective. I also continuously stay up-to-date with the latest research and am committed to providing evidence-based care for my clients.
